Banzen App
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Banzen (the "App"), a travel companion application developed and operated by Aristide LAUGA trading as Banzen ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
By accessing or using Banzen, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent where required by applicable law.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Aristide LAUGA under French law.
Banzen is a travel companion app that provides three core features:
The App is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features or in-app purchases in future versions, which will always be clearly disclosed prior to any charge.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Banzen, in accordance with Apple App Store guidelines. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly allow users under 13 to access the App.
You agree to use Banzen only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
Banzen is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We make no guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate at all times.
Weather data
Weather information is sourced from Apple WeatherKit and is provided for general informational purposes only. It must not be relied upon for safety-critical decisions, emergency planning, aviation, or any activity where inaccurate data could cause harm.
Currency rates
Exchange rates are sourced from fxRates API and are indicative only. They are not financial advice and must not be used as the sole basis for financial, investment, or commercial decisions. Always verify rates with a licensed financial institution before transacting.
Translations
Translations are generated by Google Cloud Translation API and may be imperfect, incomplete, or contextually inaccurate. They must not be used for legal documents, medical instructions, official correspondence, or any situation where precision is critical.
Service availability
Banzen depends on third-party APIs (Apple WeatherKit, Google Translate, fxRates API). If any of these services experience outages, degraded performance, or discontinuation, features of the App may be temporarily or permanently unavailable. We are not liable for such disruptions.
To the fullest extent permitted by French and European law, Aristide LAUGA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.
All content, design, code, graphics, logos, and branding within Banzen — including the name "Banzen" — are the exclusive property of Aristide LAUGA and are protected by French and international intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only. This licence does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the App.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of any third-party service. Links or integrations with third-party services do not constitute an endorsement.
Banzen is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms shall prevail with respect to App Store-related matters.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
If we make material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via an in-app notice or App Store update notes.
These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use the App. You may stop using Banzen at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App for any user who violates these Terms, without prior notice.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
In the event of a dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of the App, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably by contacting us at the address below. If no resolution is reached within 30 days, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of France.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you also have the right to submit a complaint through the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
